What was your favorite Law School class? Why?
Lucienne Boyd Alumnus: Class of 2007 Contracts (Peppet). The reasoning behind contract law seemed more rational than other subjects, particularly property which is ridiculously antiquated. Also, Prof. Peppet made the class fun. |
Judd Choate Alumnus: Class of 2006 Criminal Procedure I -- with Professor Kevin Reitz. His card-catalogue knowledge of the criminal law is astounding, yet he can make something like the 4th Amendment jurisprudence clear and easily understandable (which it?s not). |
Crisanta Duran Alumnus: Class of 2005 Professor Campos pushes his students to reach accelerated intellectual levels by thinking ?outside of the box,? while at the same time, incorporates humor and sarcasm in his lectures. |
Todd Fredrickson Alumnus: Class of 1991 Wills, Trusts, and Estates -- Wayne Gazur made a particularly dry subject very entertaining. |
Brian Mason Alumnus: Class of 2006 |
Alison Ochs Alumnus: Class of 2005 My favorite law school class was litigation with Professor Campos. We spent a lot of time milling over Supreme Court decisions and looking at the rhetoric used by the Justices to give substance to their arguments. |
Siddhartha Rathod Alumnus: Class of 2007 Property with Professor Hill |
Katie Roenbaugh Alumnus: Class of 2007 It?s a tie between Legal Writing and Contracts. Professor Louisa Heiny taught legal writing. Her class was well structured and clear, and the skills I learned in legal writing helped me with all my other classes. For Contracts I had Professor Scott Peppet ? he made a difficult subject understandable and has a great sense of humor. |
Laurie Rust Alumnus: Class of 2006 The Immigration Clinic provided a different type of challenge. Instead of reading and preparing for class, I was working on actual cases with real clients. I wrote an asylum brief for the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and tried cases before the Immigration Court in Aurora. |
Rita Sanzgiri Alumnus: Class of 2006 Privacy, Security and Digital Rights Management with Prof. Phil Weiser. It was an extremely interesting class that introduced us to many current cutting edge issues of the Internet. Also Prof. Weiser brings a certain energy and passion to his teaching. It was a very intense class with lots of reading, but I learnt a lot and enjoyed it very much. |
Bonnie Sarkar Alumnus: Class of 2007 Constitutional law b/c it?s hard. Weiser |
Teresa Taylor Tate Alumnus: Class of 2006 I think my favorite law school class has been torts with Allison Eid. What wonderful stories! I will never forget the image of cells being "revivified" or exploding parcels. As a first semester, first year class, Eid hit just the right note to usher me into legal reasoning. |
