What advice would you give a prospective student about how to get financial aid or how to understand the system?
Lucienne Boyd Alumnus: Class of 2007 The best advice I can give is to start budgeting. You don't want to be worried about money at the end of the semester. |
Crisanta Duran Alumnus: Class of 2005 Take the time to meet with the Financial Aid staff. The Financial Aid staff is dedicated to students and can help provide solutions to economic obstacles. |
Alison Ochs Alumnus: Class of 2005 We have very competent financial aid advisors here at CU. Apply for scholarships and make sure to establish residency. |
Siddhartha Rathod Alumnus: Class of 2007 Read the website and submit your FASA as early as possible. |
Katie Roenbaugh Alumnus: Class of 2007 Rely heavily upon the financial aid counselors at the law school. They?re a fantastic resource. |
Laurie Rust Alumnus: Class of 2006 Fill out the FAFSA early! Pay attention to deadlines. You?ll want to apply for private alternative law loans early. The Financial Aid office sends every student a sheet called the ?8 Steps to Financial Aid.? It clearly spells out your responsibilities.

Teresa Taylor Tate Alumnus: Class of 2006 First, apply early! Get all of your paperwork in ASAP. Second, communicate! Be sure to ask lots of questions, highlight anything unique in your circumstances, and let people know what you need. They will work with you if they are able. |
