Bio:

Emily Horowitz is the Director of Experiential Learning and Public Service Programs at the University of Colorado Law School. In this capacity, Emily oversees Colorado Law's Externship Program, Barristers' Council (Mock Trial, Moot Court and Transactional Competitions), and the Public Service Pledge.

Emily previously worked at the University of Miami School of Law as the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs and Student Services & Special Advisor to the Law Reviews. A testament to her love for working with law students, Emily received the 2014 Guillermo Padron Staff Service award, an award recognizing University of Miami School of Law staff whose interactions with the students and community at large exemplify the ideal of service to others and the community.

Emily graduated in 2012 with honors from the University of Miami School of Law where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami Law Review and was a member of Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board. Emily was a finalist in Miami Law's Legal Research and Writing Moot Court Competition. As a 2L, Emily competed in the prestigious Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition where she and her partner made it to the semifinals. In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling (she's been to all 50 states), hiking, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs, "Sonny" and "Taco."
