Documentary Haynesville to be shown at Colorado Law
Boulder – On Thursday, May 26, at 7:00 p.m., the Intermountain Oil and Gas Best Management Practices (BMPs) Project of the Natural Resources Law Center will be screening the documentary Haynesville: A Nation’s Hunt for an Energy Future. Mark Bullard, the documentary’s producer, writer and cinematographer, will give an introduction.

WHY: This documentary investigates landowners varying responses to to development of the Haynesville Shale in northwestern Louisiana, the largest natural gas field in the United States. The documentary focuses primarily on three individuals: a large landowner, a single mom who is concerned about environmental issues and a preacher who sees the benefits of economic prosperity for his ministry. The screening takes place at the conclusion of the Intermountain Oil & Gas BMPs Project to discuss how best management practices are incorporated into well field developments, whether they are effective at preventing environmental affects, cost and whether they can provide cost savings.
