National Children's Law Office Symposium

This past January 18th-20th the University of Colorado Law School Juvenile and Family Law Program hosted the National Children’s Law Office Symposium. Co- Sponsored by the National Association of Counsel for Children, the American Bar Association, and the Colorado Office of the Child’s Representative, the conference brought together members of the country’s top child welfare law offices for an in-depth look at best practice models in the field. Attendees spent three days focusing on models for delivering legal services to children in the abuse, neglect, and dependency court system. Attendees included representatives from 22 states, 66 offices, and Puerto Rico and China. The recommendations developed throughout the conference will appear in the May 2007 issue of the University of Colorado Law Review.
