December 14, 2006
The 11-member Colorado Air Quality Control Commission held its official meetings at University of Colorado Law School's Wolf Law Building December 14 and 15, 2006. Under consideration were such weighty concerns as increasing the number of "remote sensing" vehicles that test for high-polluter vehicles, and waiving emissions testing on late model vehicles to "decrease the burden on citizens of Colorado," as one Council Member remarked. Congresswoman Diana DeGette had asked the group to pass strong measures to protect the air quality of Colorado. Members of the public, as well as prominent Colorado Officials made comments and presentations to the council.
