CAREER DEVELOPMENT EVENT!
All classes are invited to a new spring semester series called CDO Conversations. In these 50-minute events, Colorado Law students will have the opportunity to hear brief (1-2 minute) introductory remarks from three to four attorneys before breakout sessions in which groups of students will rotate from one attorney to the next every 10 minutes. We will do four rotations of small groups (4-6 students). So, each participating student will have a chance to meet with each attorney in the course of 50 minutes.

It's no secret that the law is a demanding profession that often requires long working hours. At the same time, lawyers have families, friends, hobbies, and other out-of-work commitments that are important parts of their lives. As a result, one of the keys to a successful career in the law is learning to manage both your professional and personal responsibilities. The question, of course, is how? Join us, and the Women's Law Caucus for a discussion on managing your legal career and personal life. We will discuss the following:
♦How is "work/life" balance for both men and women within the law achieved?
♦How is taking care of one's physical and mental health critical to both personal and professional longevity and success?
♦How do you find out about a firm?s work/life balance culture without asking about work/life balance?

The guests for this event are:
Genet Johnson, Johnson Law Group, LLC
Chris Ottelle, Husch Blackwell
Trina Ruhland, Boulder County Attorney's Office
Mack Wilding, Ballard Spahr
