Join the Silicon Flatirons Student Group for a primer exploring the Social Implications of Technological Change. Paul de Sa, with extensive experience working in telecom and the FCC, will set the stage for the exciting conference later the same day. The rapid acceleration of communications technology is changing our society and economy in profound ways. Edmund Russell, Professor of History at Boston University, will present his work on the social implications and impacts of the information technology revolution, considering how the modern rise of social networks, mobile computing, and introduction of global access to broadband networks parallels the impact of the telegraph.
