Bio:
Lauren Seney became the Associate Director & Head of Technical Services at the Wise Law Library in January 2020. Prior to that she was the Digital Initiatives Librarian at the College of William & Mary Wolf Law Library and adjunct professor teaching law and literature. Lauren is active within the profession, publishing and presenting on topics related to digital repositories and technical services, in addition to service within professional associations. In recent years, she has taken on several leadership roles within the American Association of Law Libraries: Chair of the Technical Services Special Interest Section (TS-SIS) from February 2017-July 2018, Co-Chair of the TS-SIS Professional Development Committee from July 2020-July 2022, and Chair of the Law Repositories Caucus from July 2019-July 2020. In addition to that, she has served as a member of the Law ArXiv Technical Advisory Committee since 2017, chaired the Steering Committee of a highly successful, cutting-edge national conference on law school repositories, and served within local and regional law library organizations in a variety of ways. Since joining the Wise Law Library, Lauren has engaged in the system-wide library community by serving on several committees, including those involved in the investigation and forthcoming migration to a new library management system.

When not at work, Lauren enjoys baking, photography, and exploring nature with her husband, son, and dog.
