Sports and Entertainment Law Student Association (SELSA)

Sports & Entertainment Law Student Association (SELSA) strives to promote, sponsor, and encourage participation in a variety of sports & entertainment-related social events for the CU law community. It presents guest speakers & experts in professional sports, collegiate athletics & the entertainment world to provide students with perspective and insight into these fields. Additionally, it encourages the development of networking opportunities for those interested in pursuing a career in this arena.

Officers are elected every year?President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. An SBA rep is chosen to represent the organization and help secure funding.

Volunteers are needed to help plan, coordinate and execute the special events, including (but not limited to) the softball tournaments and the auction/raffle.

Entries into the Tulane Sports Law Moot Court competition are coordinated with Professor Jack Mills.

Past Activities

CU Law School co-ed softball tournament has been held every year the past five years at Stazio Ball Fields in Boulder; this is the premiere sporting and social event of the fall (every September). Other events included a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in March, an auction (raffle to support entries into the Tulane Sports Law Moot Court in January 2004, and several co-sponsored events (Casino Night, Sports Night-Monday Night Football, and flag football with Ageless).
