Bio:
Ken Kupfner is the Assistant District Attorney for the 20th Judicial District.

Mr. Kupfner obtained his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Physics from Cornell College in 1993. While attending law school at the University of Colorado, he volunteered and interned in the District Attorney's Office of the 20th Judicial District. Mr. Kupfner started his career with the DA's Office after receiving his law degree in 1998. In 2005 he was promoted to Chief Deputy and has supervised the County Court, District Court, and Sex Crimes Unit. His trial experience includes a significant variety of cases, most notable being several high profile homicides, sexual assaults, and complex drug trafficking prosecutions. In 2017, he was promoted to Assistant District Attorney. As the Assistant he currently oversees the Boulder County Critical Incident Team, District Court Division, Cold Case Unit, and day to day operations of the office.
