Bio:
Nicole Nice serves as Global Director of External Affairs for Mars Food. In this role, Nicole leads global public policy for the "dinner time" segment of Mars, Incorporated, driving development of cross-functional public policy positions and strategies across 30 global markets on a diverse set of issues impacting the food industry. Nicole also leads stakeholder engagement, external communications, and crisis management and serves on teams leading the business? health & wellbeing and sustainability strategies.

In her previous role as Director of North America Policy for Mars, Incorporated, Nicole led U.S. regulatory strategy for all segments of Mars. She provided counsel to business segments regarding the potential impact of proposed regulations and led engagement of the FDA, FTC, and USDA across a wide range of issues including marketing, labeling, food safety, dietary guidelines, and school nutrition.

Before joining Mars, Incorporated, Nicole practiced as an attorney for seven years at the law firm Patton Boggs LLP--then recognized as the top policy law firm in the country. In her practice, Nicole provided counsel to corporations, non-profit organizations, and public entities on regulatory and policy matters related to food, agriculture, energy, and the environment.

Nicole has a B.A. from Macalester College and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and a teaching fellow in the Legal Research and Writing Program. Prior to law school, Nicole worked on Capitol Hill as senior legislative assistant, speechwriter, and floor assistant to Minority Whip David E. Bonior.
