Bio:

John McKee graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1992, earned a Master's of Environmental Management at Duke University in 1997, and a J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2011. John's legal career began with Holland & Hart LLP as Manager of Recruitment and Professional Development before becoming a law school career consultant at Denver Law in 2014. John teaches career development classes for the Jefferson County Workforce Center in Golden and offers pro bono counsel and advice to temporary residents of the Action Center Homeless Shelter in Lakewood. John's hometown is Green Bay, Wisconsin but he lived in 17 other states before settling in Colorado in 2007. Before becoming a lawyer, John enjoyed careers as a Disney Show Performer in Florida and in Japan, as a park ranger or environmental education coordinator at Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, New York City Urban Park Rangers, and for Children's Forest in the San Bernardino National Forest. John has entrepreneurial experience having opened the longest running vegan food stand business in America in Orlando, Florida and worked as a high school English teacher in rural South Carolina before moving to Colorado. John is an avid Packers fan and enjoys cooking vegan meals and hiking through the mountains of Colorado with his wife and two dogs.

John is available to assist recent and experienced alumni and current students with job search or career transition strategies, reviews of resumes, cover letters and other application documents, and assistance with networking connections in the Colorado legal community. John is admitted to the Colorado bar.
