Tilman Jacobs is an adjunct professor at University of Colorado School of Law. Previously, he taught Immigration Law and supervised the International Human Rights Clinic at the University of Wyoming College of Law. His practice has focused on humanitarian immigration, including asylum seekers, unaccompanied children, and detainees, and he has represented immigrants in federal proceedings in California, Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Colorado.

He received his J.D. with a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a Law Fellow and a Global Teaching Fellow. He also holds a master's degree in International Policy Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Before law school, he worked in the international development field.
