Before relocating to Boulder, Alexia served as a Headquarters Counsel in the Legal Department of the Communications Workers of America, AFL-CIO from 2008-10. For the 11 years prior to her position as CWA Headquarters Counsel, Alexia worked as an Assistant General Counsel for the International Union of Electronic, Electrical, Salaried Machine and Furniture Workers ("IUE") and as a Counsel for its successor, IUE-CWA.

Alexia has also held the position of Counsel to the Presidentially appointed Vice Chair of the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. Alexia began her legal career in the General Counsel's Office of the American Federation of Government Employees, AFL-CIO where she served as Staff Counsel and, later, as Assistant General Counsel (Litigation).

Alexia has served as the union co-chair of the Retention Subcommittee of the Membership Committee of the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section.

Alexia is admitted to the bars of Virginia, the District of Columbia and Colorado.
