Magistrate Thomas M. Ward was appointed as a District Court Magistrate in April 2023; his docket consists of District Court Civil matters and the forcible entry/unlawful detainer docket. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association and its Access to Justice Task Force.
Prior to his appointment, he practiced domestic relations and civil litigation at his small firm, TM Ward, LLC; his practice included modest-means and pro-bono representation of survivors of domestic violence and underserved communities.
Magistrate Ward is a graduate of the University of Colorado Law School and the University of Maryland, College Park's Smith School of Business; he worked in consulting before becoming an attorney.
