Charles served as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Ball Corporation until his retirement in January 2024. He joined Ball in 1993 as its Director, Business Development, and added the Director, Corporate Compliance role in 1996. He was Ball's Associate General Counsel from 1999 to 2004, when he was appointed General Counsel. Prior to joining Ball, Charles was a Partner at the law firm of Fraser & Beatty in Toronto, Ontario. He received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom; a J.D. from the University of Toronto; and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
