Bio:
Matthew Fritz-Mauer is the Labor Policy Director at the Denver Auditor's Office, responsible for creating and implementing procedures and policies to investigate, address, and prevent wage theft in the City and County of Denver. He is a member of the Law and Society Association, and his scholarly research explores workers' rights violations, wage theft, civil rights enforcement, and access to justice.

Before joining the Auditor's Office, Professor Fritz-Mauer practiced labor and employment law, representing labor unions and low-wage workers. He also clerked on the D.C. Circuit for the Honorable Harry T. Edwards.

Professor Fritz-Mauer graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, and received his Ph.D. in Criminology, Law and Society from UC Irvine. His scholarly research and writing focuses on workers' rights, access to justice, and civil rights enforcement.
