Bio:
David Hamm is Vice President, Deputy General Counsel at Summit Materials where he provides legal support for the company's board and its committees, SEC filings and other disclosure matters, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and compliance program. He graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University in 2008 and recently completed an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center in Financial Regulation and Securities. David is the former co-chair of the In-House Subcommittee of the ABA Corporate Governance Committee and, in connection with the subcommittee's activities, hosts the #1 ranked ABA Business Law podcast entitled "Conversations with GCs" designed to educate and develop aspiring general counsels by interviewing leading general counsels for the purpose of exploring the path that led them to becoming a general counsel, essential skills and characteristics of a successful general counsel, current issues that are of a particular focus for general counsel and advice for aspiring general counsels. He and his family are based in the Denver area and try to find as much time as possible to hike, ski and explore.
