Bio:
Christian Gardner-Wood is a Chief Deputy District Attorney for the 20th Judicial District (Boulder County) District Attorney's Office in Colorado.

He graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 2007 and has been a prosecutor in Colorado for 17 years, spending the first eleven years at the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office and moving to the Boulder District Attorney's Office in 2018. He currently oversees the Community Protection Division and the Center for Prevention and Restorative Justice for the 20th Judicial District.

In these roles, he coordinates outreach, legislation, and policy initiatives, and supervises the Diversion & Restorative Justice Unit. He also oversees all prosecutions involving elder abuse and significant economic crimes and continues to prosecute serious felony cases and homicides. Most of his career has been dedicated to prosecuting offenses involving vulnerable victims, including children, elders, sexual assault victims, and human trafficking victims. He regularly trains in the areas of human trafficking, child abuse, sexual assault, prosecution skills, trial advocacy, juvenile justice, financial exploitation, elder abuse, mandatory reporting, and diversion and restorative justice.

Christian has been one of the leaders in Colorado in the state-wide use of data within DA's Offices and moving offices to becoming data-informed and data-driven. He also serves, by Governor appointment, as the statewide District Attorney representative to the Colorado Human Trafficking Council for the last seven years and had been elected by the Council to serve as its Chair for five years.
