Bio:
Jason Slothouber is a senior prosecutor for the Colorado Attorney General and is cross appointed as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. Since 2016, he has focused on handling complex white collar crime cases including securities fraud, insurance fraud, organized crime, and wire/mail fraud cases. Prior to joining the Attorney General's office Jason spent three years as a district attorney in and around Aspen and completed a two-year federal clerkship. Jason graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law, and also holds a M.A. in International Law and Politics from Georgetown University and a B.S. in International Politics from Georgetown. Jason is a recognized leader in trial strategy and execution: he has successfully litigated dozens of jury trials; operating as a lead trial counsel in multi-week jury trials with tens of millions of dollars on the line. Jason won a national championship in mock trial, and regularly teaches legal education courses on trial strategy and execution for statewide and national audiences. He is the author of a book chapter on identification evidence put out by the Colorado Bar Association, and another chapter on the law governing opening and closing statements for the Colorado District Attorney's Council.
