Regulating Megabanks: A Conference in Honor of Arthur Wilmarth

The University of Colorado Law School and the University of Colorado Law Review hosted a symposium on regulating large financial conglomerates. The symposium honors Professor Arthur Wilmarth of the George Washington University Law School, who has devoted his entire scholarly career to this topic and whose book Taming the Megabanks was just published by Oxford University Press.

Speakers included Senator Sherrod Brown (Chair of the Senate Banking Committee); the general counsel of the Federal Reserve; former senior policymakers from the Bank of England, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the International Monetary Fund, and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; financial regulation policymakers and advocates from Washington, D.C.; and professors from law, business, and public policy schools in the U.S., Germany, and the United Kingdom.
