"Tackling Racial Bias in the Midst of a Global Pandemic: the City's Response to Covid-19 - Legal Aspects of Public Health Orders, Compliance and Enforcement." The event, part of Colorado Law?s Race and the Law series, featured Denver City Attorney Kristin Bronson ('97), Deputy City Attorney James E. Fisher, and Deanne Durfee, Kwali Farbes ('05), Lee M. Zarzecki ('11), and Renee Goble from the Denver City Attorney's Office. Kristin Bronson provided introductory remarks on several of the legal and logistical challenges that the pandemic presented, with the backdrop of social unrest throughout our city, state, country and world. The panel presentation consisted of four topical areas: emergency operations center, order requiring face coverings (masks), protest activity, and municipal operations perspectives.
