Sem: Climate Change Law and Policy
General Description:
This writing seminar will cover law and policy issues related to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and carbon pollution, the transition to a low-carbon energy system, and responding to impacts of climate change. Discussion topics may include governance challenges; climate science; laws and policies at the international, federal (U.S.A.), state, and local levels; the role of the private sector; and responses to a changing climate, including adaptation efforts, litigation, migration, and climate justice. 2 credits, letter graded.
