Bio:
Nan Waller Burnett, MA is a transformative high conflict mediator, psychotherapist; conflict
systems design consultant, conflict coach and a founding partner in Dispute Resolution Professionals,
LLC; 1997, in the Denver metropolitan area. An expert in high conflict family systems and multiparty
complex workplace disputes; she was trained as a mediator at Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation
in 1995. She received specialized Divorce and Child Custody training at CDR in Boulder, CO. Nan is
an Advanced Practitioner in ACR and has mediated over 4000 cases. She served on the Board of Directors
of Mediators Beyond Borders International from 2006-2013 and developed the Mediators Beyond Borders
Ambassador's Program.Nan has presented in China, Mongolia, Korea, Germany, Slovenia, the Czech Republic,
Turkey, Romania, France and Italy. She was the team coordinator of the Athens Migration Dialogues
Project in Athens 2013-2015

been an adjunct professor at Regis University since 1999, working with both Graduate and Undergraduate
students and teaching Mediation, Conflict Theory, Negotiation, Power and Persuasion, and Servant
Leadership. She has served in the leadership of the ACR Spirituality Section. She designed and is
the lead facilitator for the
Rocky Mountain Retreat for Conflict Practitioner's now in its 11th year.
Nan is the author of a daily spiritual practice book entitled
Calm in the Face of the Storm: Spiritual Daily Practice for the Peacemaker the winner of the 2008 Gold Medal for Spirituality and Inspiration
at the National Independent Book Publishers Awards, [IPPY], presented in Los Angeles in 2008.
She is also a member of AFCC, the ADR section of the Colorado Bar Association, the DR Section of the
ABA, and the Master Mediator Institute. In 1998, Nan developed and co-authored the court approved
co-parenting education seminars, "
In the Best Interest of the Children", and in 2001 authored the
high conflict class "
Growing through Conflict."
