Julie Nania is a Dean Getches Fellow at the Getches-Wilkinson Center for Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment. Her interest resides in the areas of American Indian and natural resources law. She is currently examining the scope of tribal water uses under the federal reserved rights doctrine. Before returning to the University Of Colorado Law School, Julie Nania worked for Western Water Assessment as a member of a working group reviewing the Navajo Nation Drought Contingency Plan. While pursuing her J.D. she served as the Energy Education Coordinator for Elephant Energy and as a Program Associate for EARTHWORKS. She received her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in 2011 and her B.A from the University of Washington in 2007.
