Harry W. Horowitz is the Director of Strategy and Special Projects. Prior to joining the staff of the law school, Harry served as Director of the Professional Development Center at Westchester Community College in New York from 2004 through 2012.
At Westchester, Harry was responsible for the area's largest entrepreneurship program, The Academy for Entrepreneurial Excellence, as well as all customized training for local area companies. He developed a Mini-MBA program that was recognized by the Chancellor of the SUNY system. His clients included Swiss Reinsurance, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Whole Foods Markets, among others. He served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation, as a member of the Board of Trustees for The Westchester County Friends of Parks, and the Putnam County Economic Development Committee. He served as a special advisor to the Office of Economic Development for Westchester County. In 2005, Harry received the Rising Stars-Forty Under Forty Award for outstanding business leadership and in 2012 he was selected as a Marshall Memorial Fellow by the German Marshall Fund of the United States to represent the United States on a three-week inter-Atlantic exchange with European leaders.
Harry has held positions at Hewlett Packard/Mercury Interactive and the Oracle Corporation/SPL Worldgroup and has extensive experience working in the Pacific Rim with high technology organizations. From 1994-1998 he served as an officer in the Israeli Air Force and was awarded an outstanding soldier commendation in basic training. He led training for the first generation of F-15I engineers and pilots.
