Bio:
Amy Bauer joined the University of Colorado Law School in 2010. In addition to teaching Legal Writing I and II to first-year students, she developed and teaches both Transactional Drafting and Depositions Skills. Prior to joining Colorado Law, she practiced as a civil litigator for eight years after clerking for Honorable JoAnn Vogt of the Colorado Court of Appeals. Her areas of practice were commercial litigation, employment litigation and intellectual property litigation. A significant portion of her time in private practice was spent serving as national counsel to the Recording Industry Association of America and their member companies in lawsuits involving the illegal copying and distribution of sound recordings through online file-sharing programs. She also did pro bono work on cases involving prisoners' rights. During her time in private practice she taught legal writing as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
