Law Students Help Draft Ordinance to Prohibit Plastic Bags

A team of Colorado Law students (Alex San Fillipo-Rosser, Pamela Maass, and Stephanie Scott) taking Professor Deborah Cantrell’s “Lawyers and Social Change” course this past fall teamed with New Vista High School students to draft an ordinance that would prohibit businesses in Boulder from using petroleum-based plastic bags. The proposal will be completed and presented to the Boulder City Council in February.
