Alumnae Betty Nordwind Honored by Harriett Buhai Center

At their 24th Annual Theater Benefit, the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law honored alumna Betty L. Nordwind ’71 with the Zephyr M. Ramsey Award. The Harriett Buhai Center in Los Angeles protects victims of domestic violence and improves the well-being of children living in poverty through free family law assistance and legal education to the poor.

Nordwind joined the Center in 1987 as Executive Director and has taken it from a staff of two to twenty persons, in addition to establishing the Center’s Child Support Project. Non-profit law has been her life’s work.
