Could the liberal democratic state morph into fascism? What are the legal/political vulnerabilities of the liberal democratic state as seen by legal/political theorists of the left and right? What is it about the political/legal structure of post-industrial democracies that have led them to a point where right-wing authoritarian movements are once again gaining traction? Professor Pierre Schlag will address these questions in his Colorado Law Talk.
Professor Schlag's lecture will be followed by a reception and an opportunity to mix and mingle with members of our Colorado Law community.
The event is free for all Colorado Law students, faculty, and staff, recent (2012-2017) graduates, and Law Alumni Ambassadors, $10 for all other alumni, and $20 for other guests. Cost of attendance is payable at the door via cash, check, or charge. Pre-registration is requested and space is limited, so please sign up today. The State of Colorado Supreme Court Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education denied CLE credit for this lecture. We hope you will still plan to join us for what is sure to be an interesting topic with lively discussion!
A warm thanks to Rathod | Mohamedbhai LLC for its generous co-hosting of this event.
