In this session, we will examine how law students can successfully handle situations in which their viewpoints may differ from others in their careers and in life. In law school, we are often surrounded by like-minded people and have difficulty understanding, let alone having empathy for, different viewpoints. The goal of this panel is not to change personal perspectives or talk politics, but simply to teach how to view and listen to other viewpoints so that common ground can be found and used to achieve goals. These are skills that all professionals, especially lawyers, need, but do not always learn in law school. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!!
