A unique collaboration between the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and the University of Colorado Law School to connect students interested in public interest and social justice with a wide-range of local practitioners and professionals. Day 1: Public Good Practitioner Speed Mentoring Event Thursday, September 8, 2016 5:30pm – 7:15pm, Speed Mentoring & Reception Day 2: Full Day Retreat Saturday, September 10, 2016 8:30am – 4:00pm Organizations represented at mentor event include: state Public Defenders, District Attorneys, Colorado Depart. of Labor and Employment, Colorado Attorney General (Criminal Appeals), U.S. Dept. of Education (Civil Rights), Denver Elections Commission, and several private and nonprofit public-interest legal organizations. Organization represented at full-day retreat include: Officer of Lt. Governor, Sec. of State (Colorado), U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Develop (HUD), Colorado Legal Services, Colorado Legislative Council, District Attorney (1st Judicial), Office of the Independent Monitor (Denver), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service and several private and nonprofit public-interest legal organizations.
