Sometimes we can say or ask something that we think is quite innocuous, with no intention of insulting anyone; then, we discover that we have just committed a true faux pas and someone is offended. Sometimes when we are communicating across cultures, we may offend simply because we are unaware of the cultural nuances. What did you say or do that was so offensive? If you did not intend to offend, why was the other person so offended? What did they hear or see in your behavior that you never intended to communicate? How do you “fix” it?
Lunch will be sponsored by Butler Snow, LLP.
