Panelists will participate in a moderated discussion regarding one of the most challenging aspects of navigating a legal career- how to find a balance between work and personal life. Although everyone must find the balance that is right for them, there is much to gain from hearing and learning from others' experiences. Panelists will address topics such as how different career choices can affect work-life balance, how the ideal balance can change over time and at different life stages, issues related to being both a lawyer and parent, how (and when) to bring up work-life balance issues with your employer, and how to start thinking about your own work-life balance needs now.
Lunch will be provided. No need to RSVP.
Panelists:
Emma Garrison (JD, Berkeley)--staff counsel at Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell in Denver, focusing on complex commercial litigation at both the trial and appellate level
Robert Keating ('06)--managing partner at Keating & Lyden, LLC, in Boulder, specializing in corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private securities, intellectual property, corporate, partnership and individual taxation, estate planning, real estate and entertainment
