Data security and privacy have become increasingly critical business and legal issues. Recently both corporate and government servers have been breached exposing confidential information of millions of individuals. In this Tech Literacy Series presentation, Ms. Mel Gates will address this critical problem by examining it at the intersection of law, technology, and business. This presentation will explain enterprise IT concepts & terminology and why lawyers need to understand them. She will also discuss why collaboration among business, IT, and legal is critical, and address the law, policy, and process issues surrounding privacy and data security governance. You don't have to be a techie to protect yourself and your clients, but a little geek-speak goes a long way.
