Could one of your coworkers embezzle money without anyone knowing? The answer may surprise you. Join us for a town hall discussion on the biggest municipal fraud in U.S. history. Former Dixon, Illinois controller Rita Crundwell embezzled $53 million from the city from 1983 to 2012 to support her championship American Quarter Horse breeding operation. Kelly Richmond Pope will moderate the discussion. Clips from a documentary-in-development about the crime will be shown to spark discussion about white-collar crime, public corruption, and the importance of ethical decision-making in our society.
Watch the trailer here and read more about Rita Crundwell's case.
CLE CREDITS REQUESTED.
FOOD PROVIDED: A networking reception with heavy appetizers will follow the film and discussion in Boettcher Hall.
