Colorado Law's ninth annual 'What I Wish I Knew In Law School' event is on Tuesday, October 13 from 5:15 to 7:00 p.m. in the law school's café. This event is highly recommended for students - especially 1Ls and 2Ls - interested in transactional law, policy work, in-house counsel and business career paths.

Transactional attorneys often lament that they wish they'd known a number of things earlier in their careers: which courses to take during law school, where and how to network, how to learn about business and future clients, and how to position oneself for a transactional career. The event's format is small, fast, and interactive - modeled after a speed dating approach. Students will meet attorneys in small groups of 5-10 and have an opportunity to ask questions in this setting. This event is co-sponsored by the Career Development Office, the Silicon Flatirons Center, and the Business Law Society.

Since the event will be catered with light hors d'oeuvres, we ask that you RSVP HERE by noon on Friday, October 9 so we will know how much food to provide. However, if you decide to join us late in the game or on the day of the event, you are still welcome! The event is business casual.

The attendees below are made up of transactional attorneys and those who have used the JD flexibly outside of legal practice.
