Is the cannabis industry a male dominated industry? What is it like being a female leader in the cannabis industry? Do you want cookies from Boulder Baked? Come join the Cannabis Law League and Women's Law Caucus for a panel discussion with Rachel K. Gillette and Kate Awada on gender issues within the cannabis industry. Rachel K. Gillette is a business law attorney, with a large part of her practice focusing on marijuana law and marijuana business licensing and compliance. She also represents her clients before the IRS and other state taxing authorities. Kate Awada is a uses first hand industry experience from working within each facet of the industry, Kate works directly with centers to plan organize and execute operations that allow the business to thrive financially, compliantly and fluidly. Kate was the first individual to train the industry within METRC (formerly MITS), an RFID tracking program for seed to sale monitoring of cannabis and cannabis infused products, in the state of Colorado. Cookies from Boulder Baked will be provided.
