In late August, 2014, the U.S. Supreme Court stepped in to block a federal appeals court ruling that would have allowed gay marriages to begin in Virginia. The decision was widely expected but tells little about how the high court will ultimately rule on the issue. It merely preserves the status quo. Join us for a review of the progress and status of marriage equality in Colorado and the United States since United States v. Windsor and the rationales that courts have used to strike down same-sex marriage bans. Sandwiches sponsored by Butler Snow LLP
