IELS #7: LET'S TALK ABOUT WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE "IN THE MINORITY" IN LAW SCHOOL

This event has ended.

When Monday, April 21, 2014
12:00 PM - 12:55 PM
Location 204
For Faculty; Staff; Students; Alumni

We will review a recent nine-minute video, "How It Feels to Be a Black Law Student at UCLA," produced by a group of Black UCLA law students, in which students speak candidly about their experiences as an underrepresented group at UCLA. We will use this video as an opportunity to gain some insight into how they and many other law students across the country experience their environment and its impact on them. The goal of this event is to provide a welcoming environment where we can talk about issues of difference and explore how each of us can learn from and better understand each other's experiences.

All are welcome - students, faculty, staff, and administration - regardless of your background.

Sandwiches will be served. Bring your own drinks.
