Brown Bag for students who want to participate in the Pledge to Diversity Program. The Colorado Pledge to Diversity 1L Summer Clerkship Program The Colorado Pledge to Diversity 1L Summer Clerkship Program is sponsored by the Colorado Pledge to Diversity Legal Group, comprised of many law firms and other participating employers in Denver that have signed the Colorado Pledge to Diversity in the Colorado Legal Community (the “Pledge”). The Program is made available to diverse 1L students attending the University of Colorado School of Law or the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. The Program’s primary purpose is educational. In furtherance of this purpose and given the historic under-representation of diverse lawyers in the legal profession, the Program seeks to provide a means for exposing diverse law students to opportunities in the legal profession and vice versa. The objective is to establish a vehicle through which participation of diverse students in clerkship programs is increased, with the long-term goal of increasing hiring of diverse students. Speaker: Atty. AnaLisa Valle, Chair of the 1L Summer Clerkship Pledge Program When: Wednesday, November 10, 2009 Noon -12:50 PM Location: Room 204 For: 1L Students
