Stoiber, Carlton   March 30, 2008
After leaving the federal government about ten years ago (Departments of Justice, State and Nuclear Regulatory Commission), I have continued a very active consulting career in international and nuclear law. Just back from Nigeria and Vienna, I will be off to Riyadh in a week or so to lecture on nuclear security. The next few months bring trips to Riyadh, Tibilisi and Manila to assist in the drafting of nuclear legislation. I have 10 more 14ers to summit before completing all 54 in Colorado. We geezers have to keep active to avoid mental and physical atrophy. A good motto is: "When you're over the hill, you accelerate."
Stoiber, Carlton   December 5, 2008
On August 6th I summited the final 14,000 foot peak in Colorado. I saved Long's Peak for last in honor of my first climbing instructor--Prince Willmon--who was killed on the mountain in 1960 just 3 weeks before I graduated from Boulder High. I continue consulting in international and nuclear law and was selected this year as Chair of the International Nuclear Law Association Working Group on Nuclear Security.
