John L. Hay is named by Southwest Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in Arizona for 2007. Mr. Hay practices general corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on representing small- and medium-sized businesses, particularly insurance companies, banks, startups, franchisors, and franchisees. His client also include manufacturers, developers, and various service companies. He represents business clients with formation; financing; contracts; dealings with regulatory agencies, vendors and among owners; and intellectual property matters such as trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He has worked on complex commercial transactions, land deals, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and business reorganizations. Mr. Hay worked on the State Bar of Arizona committee to develop the new corporate code. In addition, he is coauthor of Arizona Corporate Practice (West Group Publishing).
